BIKE:  HUSQVARNA 510 CENTENNIAL
Specification

510 is a historical trade mark in the Husqvarna off-road range. In fact, the TE 510 was the first new era four-stroke enduro and motocross bike.

Twenty years from the creation of the 510, Husqvarna presents the 510 Centennial , the anniversary motorcycle that will only be produced in a 500 model limited edition. A true work of art for collectors and brand aficionados that is the forerunner of Husqvarna’s new era of aesthetic and technical standards.

Extreme, streamline, swift, simple, and modern while still tied to the Husqvarna tradition, the 510 Centennial is a concentration of high technology, enhanced by prestigious and hand made details. Most of the superstructures are made of carbon fibre with anodised Ergal red Husqvarna branded screws. Even the rear saddle chassis is attached with titanium screws and the saddle has a carbon bottom and non-slip cover.

The fork is the new Marzocchi with 50 mm chromium-plated TIN finished shafts (like those on the official Husqvarna ones), 195 mm axles and 18 mm Off-set. The fork's feet are solid formed the same as the base and handlebars and handlebar clevis. Titanium is used for most nuts and bolts. Hubs are solid formed and anodised glossy bronze.

Particular attention was paid to the important details for racing and for this reason the front and rear wheel pins have quick release hooks. The tank and conveyors are both high-design and practical. The first is made of brushed aluminium with mirror polished sides. The carbon fibre conveyors are a single piece with the part coupling the tank painted red as a revival of the colour used on Swedish bikes in the 60’s and 70’s. The rear collet is the new Brembo Pf26.

The Sachs shock absorber is the same as the one used by the Official Husqvarna team, with the new and more ample side tank. The foot rests are made of titanium and the handlebar levers (front brake and clutch) are the swivel type.

The 510 engine was made lighter using different carbon pieces like the tappet cover, clutch guard cover, ignition cover, oil guard cover, engine guard and side guard. Even the side chassis guards near the foot rests are made of carbon. The exhaust system and muffler are made of titanium.

The tank is marked 1/500 on a silver plate. Production of the 510 Centennial is foreseen for the end of this year.
