SUPERMOTO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: ADRIEN CHAREYRE GETS CLOSER TO THE FINAL VICTORY
South Milano supermoto track was the theater of the penultimate Supermoto round in which Adrien Chareyre, S2 class Husqvarna rider, was as usual main protagonist with two brilliant performances leading him to the red plate.
In the S1 class Adrien’s brother Thomas fought hard with Honda rider Ivan Lazzarini who made the most of his home track advantage leaving Thomas to take second overall in the GP.
Supporting the team there were also American Supercross rider Michael Hall, who could not take part in the SX Bilbao race due to injury, and Polish Enduro rider Bartosz Oblucki, close friend of Adrien.

In heat 1 Adrien was solid on second position behind Ivan Lazzarini, while Thomas made a non-stop chase of Ivan Lazzarini until the very end, when he placed his SM 450RR on second place with Adrien taking S2 class win.
Between the two heats, the news arrived that Gozzini, TM S2 rider, second placed in the provisional classification, had been disqualified due to an infraction to the race regulation. This puts Adrien at 52 points ahead of Gozzini and Delepine on second place.
Of course this gave to Adrien a lot of pressure, realizing he could have won the World Title with just one race, but Chareyre decided to make a clean race, avoiding any risks or mistakes. Adrien got second in race 2 and got the victory of the GP, with Delepine behind him in second place.
Meanwhile in S1, Thomas again chased Lazzarini for the whole heat, but could not stop him and took second place overall.

These results gave Lazzarini the second provisional place with only 2 points from Thomas Chareyre, while Finnish rider Hermunen, who struggled with pace on the Milan track, is 4th with a 10 point deficit from Thomas. Van Den Bosch (TM) is still leading the classification, 21 points ahead of Chareyre.
In S2 class, Adrien has 46 points from Delepine (216), with Gozzini right behind the Belgian rider with 213 points.
The last and championship deciding Supermoto World Championship round will be held in Cataluña, Spain, on November 15th.
